According to reports, the U.S. Department of Justice states that hackers controlled by the North Korean regime are infiltrating American enterprises through U.S. accomplices, exploiting remote IT positions to steal sensitive data. U.S. prosecutors have indicted and arrested at least two individuals, conducting searches at over 40 residences in Texas suspected of housing "laptop farms," seizing more than 180 computers;

The devices are allegedly shipped by U.S. companies to new employees, but personnel used stolen identities of U.S. citizens to secure jobs. Law enforcement agencies believe at least 70 organizations across healthcare, network support, retail, telecommunications, and manufacturing sectors have been compromised, resulting in stolen funds totaling approximately $3 million. The FBI asserts that thousands of information technology professionals under North Korean control are currently working within Western corporations, posing significant risks to national security and intellectual property theft.
