According to an official announcement, Anthropic disclosed on Thursday that it had thwarted an activity launched by a Russia-backed threat actor. The actor abused Claude to develop AI-assisted workflows, attempting to reconstruct malicious software before detection. Anthropic attributed the incident to its tracked espionage group GTG-20006 (Generative Threat Group), which aligns with the previously reported Midnight cluster.
