According to U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick, the AI company Anthropic has reconciled with the Trump administration, resolving months-long disagreements over national security concerns. Lutnick stated that Anthropic "has come to its senses," and the Trump administration facilitated bridging the gap, securing the company's support. Previously, the U.S. Department of Commerce had briefly imposed export controls on two of Anthropic's top-tier AI models in June; the restrictions were lifted two weeks later after Anthropic took measures addressing the security concerns.
