Hackers Breach Identity Verification Service IDScan, Exposing Over 150 Million Driver's License Photos

According to independent security journalist Brian Krebs, a company named IDScan providing identity verification services is suspected of being breached, resulting in the leak of over 150 million driver's licenses and passports from the United States and Canada. Hackers have created a dark web search site called Nexus, enabling users to query the leaked data and claiming approximately 500,000 new documents are added daily. Krebs confirmed his own driver’s license was among the compromised records. The website has since been taken down. The FBI is currently investigating.
