Recently, according to Max For AI, Saudi AI company HUMAIN has released the HUMAIN M3 model, initially claiming it as a "100% Saudi model." However, facing scrutiny, the developer Sultan Alfaifi clarified that the model was developed based on MiniMax's M3 model from the Chinese AI company MiniMax. Both HUMAIN M3 and MiniMax M3 adopt a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture, featuring 428 billion total parameters and 23 billion activated parameters.

HUMAIN stated that it conducted post-training using over one trillion Arabic tokens, focusing on enhancing capabilities in Arabic language understanding, local cultural context, intelligent agents, tool calling, and computer operation. The model achieved an average score of 89.37% across seven Arabic benchmark tests. Subsequently, HUMAIN plans to release the model weights and deploy the system on servers within Saudi Arabia. Max For AI believes this collaboration demonstrates how Chinese models are evolving from merely providing APIs and products into becoming the foundational technical stack for other nations to build sovereign AI systems.
