According to reports, the UK-based AI startup CuspAI, just two years old, has secured nearly $500 million in funding and announced the establishment of the AI Materials Factory Alliance on Monday local time. The alliance brings together over 48 technology companies, industrial enterprises, and research institutions, including Nvidia, Meta, and Hyundai Motor Group.

CuspAI plans to integrate the computational power and research capabilities of alliance members to co-develop AI software aimed at enabling researchers to discover novel materials for semiconductor manufacturing and other industries at lower costs and accelerated speeds. This initiative addresses the high energy consumption and reliance on rare mineral resources inherent in advanced semiconductor production, with the goal of enhancing material discovery efficiency and driving innovation across the advanced semiconductor and related industries.
